With the inimitable Neil Patrick Harris heading up proceedings, the 2015 Oscar winners are finally known! Hot favourite, Eddie Redmayne surprised no-one by receiving the accolade for Best Leading Actor for his superb performance as astrophysicist, Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, though the brilliant film unfortunately did not secure any more of the prestigious statuettes. It was in fact Birdman who cleaned up the proceedings by earning itself 4 awards including; Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Cinematography. Whiplash however was not far behind; scooping three awards including Best Supporting Actor, Film Editing and Sound Mixing.
