Skyline Films and Wigram Productions in association with SKA Films and Davis Entertainment are now in production on the Warner Bros. Pictures spy-fi feature film “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”, and the extras castingdirectors are hiring people for general extras and featured background actors. A casting call has gone out for people who have pre-1965 era automobiles to appear in the film with their car, for a memorable and iconic scene involving Grand Prix racing. The film is based on the 1960’s NBC television series of the same name. Principal photography will take place in England, as well as Rome and Naples in Italy.

“The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” centers on a two-man troubleshooting team working for the secret international espionage and law-enforcement agency U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement): American CIA agent Napoleon Solo, and Russian KGB agent Illya Kuryakin. Teen Choice Awards winner Henry Cavill is playing the role of Napoleon Solo, while two-time Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee Armie Hammer plays Illya Kuryakin. Other cast members include BAFTA Awards nominee Alicia Vikander, Golden Globe Award winner Hugh Grant, Primetime Emmy Award nominee Jared Harris, and rising star Elizabeth Debicki.

BAFTA Awards nominee Guy Ritchie is directing “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” from a screenplay that he wrote with his production partner Lionel Wigram, who is a former Warner Bros. executive. This is the first film produced by Ritchie/Wigram Productions under a first look deal with Warner Bros. Pictures. Also producing is BAFTA Awards nominee Steve Clark-Hall of Skyline Films, Black Reel Awards nominee John Davis of Davis Entertainment, and former Paramount Pictures exec Jeff Kleeman. Warner Bros. will handle domestic and international distribution.

Casting Calls: No Fruit at the Bottom

I am looking to find cast for a micro budget feature to be shot in Birmingham next year. I do however want to start looking for the cast now. It will suit local unknown actors looking for a real chance to be noticed. We will all be in the same boat in that sense. There are only has four acting roles available, two male and two female, all in their mid-twenties. You simply have to be right for the part and believable. Rehearsals unpaid.

The story is similar to the old Michael Caine movie ‘Alfie in that it is a lothario story where only the main character breaks the fourth wall ( talking to the camera) But it is a much more adult and darker story than ‘Alfie’ with a main character that is manipulative, toxic, intelligent, analytical, and without a conscience. It’s a sort of comment on the times we are now living in with relationships being so disposable and having such a short shelf life.
